Methi Peas Masala Rice

Ingredients: Green peas 1/ cup, methi leaves 1/2 cup (chopped), onion 2 (sliced), jeera rice/basumathi rice 1 cup, coriander leaves 1/2 bunch, cashewnuts 10, haldi powder 1tsp, green chillies 4 – 5, ginger 1 piece, garlic 5 – 6, cinnamon 2, cloves 5 – 6,cardamom 3 – 4, tomato 1 (chopped), water 2 cups, saunf 1/2 tsp, refined oil  3- 4 tbsps and salt to taste.

Method: In a cooker put oil. When hot, add bay leaves, cashewnuts and fry for a while. Then add sliced onion and fry till light brown. Then add haldi powder, methi leaves, peas, tomato one by one and fry for 2 – 3 minutes. Add ground masala, rice, salt and 2 cups of hot oil. Cover the lid. Pressure cook for 2 whistle. Cool. Enjoy with salads or raitha
