Mix together 3/4 cup powdered sugar and 3/4 cup of ghee. Melt ghee and add it to the powdered sugar. Sieve together 1 and half cups of maida, 1/4 cup of besan, 2 tsp of fine soji, 1/2 tsp of baking powder and mix well. Add 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder and then add the sugar and ghee mixture and mix well and make a dough. Keep this dough aside for 2 – 3 hours. Preheat the oven for 10 to 15 minutes at 180 degree C. Make small round balls of dough and press it lightly. Place them on a butter paper and bake for 15 minutes. The base of the nan khatai should be slightly brown. Allow it to be cool.
