Ingredients: Grated apple with skin 2 + 1, sugar 1/4 cup, cardamom powder 1/2 tsp, milk 3 + 1 cup, saffron (kesar) 1/4 tsp, corn flour 2 tbsps
For garnishing: Finely lengthwise chopped almond 4, raisins 8 and 1/4 tsp cardamom powder.
Method: In a heavy bottom pan boil 2-3 cups of water. Add cardamom powder and 2cups of grated apple and sugar and cook for 2 – 3 minutes till the apple mixture becomes dry. In another pan, boil 3 cups of milk. When milk is boil, simmer the flame, and boil for another 15 minutes stirring constantly. Then add corn flour mix (mix in remaining 1 cup milk) and add to the boiling milk. Boil for 2 minute in lower flame. Switch off the gas. Add the apple mixture in to it. Mix well. In a glass bowl spread remaining 1cup of grated apple. Then slowly pour the milk and apple mixture. Garnish with almond, raisins and cardamom powder. Keep in refrigerator for 2 – 3 hours. Serve chilled.
