Ingredients: 1 cup maida, 1/2 tsp baking soda, yogurt 100 grams, ghee 200 grams for frying, sugar 1 cup for syrup and 1 tsp cardamom powder
Method: Heat sugar and 2 cups of water in a pan. When sugar dissolve, keep it for another 3 – 4 minutes and switch of the stove. This is sugar syrup. Sieve maida. Prepare a dough, mixing baking powder, 2 – 3 tsps ghee and yogurt and knead it well to make a soft dough and keep under cover for 15 – 20 minutes. Then shape portions of the dough in to balls of big lime size, flattem them into small thick rounds and deep fry them in hot ghee till golden brown. Drop the fried balushah in warm sugar syrup. Transfer to a vessel when cool.
