Ingredients: Semolina (rawa) 1 and half cup, grated coconut 3/4 cup, ghee 4 tbsps, raisins few, sugar 1 cup, green cardamom powder 1 tsp
Method: Heat ghee in a thick bottomed kadai. Stir fry semolina on low heat till it just starts changing colours to light golden. Add coconut. Continue to stir fry for one minute. Wash raisins and pat them dry. Cook sugar with half a cup of water, on medium heat stirring continuously till it dissolves. Cook without stirring for about 5 minutes or till it reaches single thread consistency. Add roasted semolina mixture and green cadamom powder to sugar syrup and mix well. Cover with a lid and keep aside for 30 minutes, stirring the mixture at regular intervals. Divide the mixture into equal portions. Shape into firm laddoos and decorate with raisins and cashew nuts.
