Ingredients: 1/2 cup kali thori, 1/2 cup vegetable of your choice (kooka, surnu, kadgi etc.), 1 cup coconut gratings, 10 roasted red chillies, tamarind (marble size), garlic cloves 7 – 8, oil 2 tbsps and salt to taste.
Kaali Thori Gashi
Method: Clean kali thori. Drop into hot water and cook till soft (pressure cook, if desired). Add veggies and cook moderately. Grind coconut gratings with roasted red chillies and tamarind to a fine paste. Add masalas to the thori and mix well. Add salt and boil well. Remove from flame. Peel cloves of garlic, crush them and fry with little oil till brown. Season koddel with it.
