Ingredients: 1/2 cup bengal gram dal or moong dal, 1 cup wheat soji (gova kani), 7 tbsps ghee, 1 and half cup sugar, 1 cup coconut gratings, 1 tsp cardamom powder, few raisins and cashew nuts
Method: Roast bengal gram dal for a while in a frying pan. Wash and keep aside. Roast wheat soji with 3 tsps of ghee and keep aside separately. Cook dal in 3/4 liter of water. Bring to boil. Lower the flame. When the dal is sufficiently cooked, add wheat soji. When soji is cooked well, add sugar. Turn over constantly, till sugar melts and begins to boil. Then add coconut gratings, fried cashew and raisins. Turn over for a few minutes till the blend thickens. Finally add the remaining ghee and cardamom powder. Turns over well and switch off the flame.
