Bikkanda Songa

Ingredients; 20 bikkanda, 2 chopped tomatoes, 2 big chopped onions, 1 tbsp tamarind pulp, 4 tsps kashmiri red chilly powder & salt to taste.

Method: No masala grinding is required for this songa. Boil bikkanda’ In a pan put some oil, then add chopped onions. Fry till the onions are light brown. Then add red chilly powder and saute for a while. Add chopped tomatoes and fry for 2 minutes. Then add tamarind pulp, boiled bikkanda and salt. Turn over. Cook till the curry turns semi solid. Remove from flame.
