Ingredients: 1/2 cup maida (all purpose flour), 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup ghee and 3-4 drops of vanilla essence
Method: Heat ghee in a kadai, add maida and fry for about 1 minute on low flame and then put off the flame. In another pan take sugar and just add little water to cover the sugar, and make a sugar syrup is not more than one string consistency. Put off the flame and add vanilla essence and maida to this and mix well it it forms a dough. It takes about 3-4 minutes. Then spread this mixture on a greased plate and when it is still warm cut in to shapes and when it is completely cool remove the burfis and store in to the container.
