Ingredients: 1/2 green gram, 10 red chillies, tamarind (size of tamarind seed), 1/4 cup coconut gratings, 2 big onions, oil for roasting and salt to taste.

Method: Soak green gram in water for 1 hour. Grind coconut gratings with red chillies and tamarind to a fine paste, adding a little water. Add salt. Mix chopped onions. Place greased dosa pan on flame. When hot, flatten masala on it to make 2-3 small dosas. Roast for a while. Pour a few drops of oil on each dosa. Turn over. Roast the other side also till brown and take it out. Chopped cabbage can be added to masala, if desired.
