Ingredients: Bangda fish 4 (cleaned and cut in to pieces), roasted red chillies 15, coriander seeds 2 tsps, jeera 1 tsp, methi seeds half tsp, mustard seeds 1 tsp, turmeric powder half tsp, tamarind pulp 2 tbsps, onions chopped 2, oil 3 tbsps, grated ginger 1 tsp, and salt to taste.
Method: Dry roast all d above ingredients along with red chillies. Grind to a fine thick paste. Do not add much water. To this paste, add tamarind pulp, turmeric powder. In a thick bottomed pan, add bangda pieces, chopped onions, grated ginger, ground masala, oil and salt. Cook well under cover for 15 to 20 minutes in a low flame. When done, remove from flame.
