Ingredients: 1 pav bombay rava, 4 green chillies, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 3 tbsps ghee, 2 tsps sugar, 1 tsp black gram dal, 2 tsps cashew nut bits, few curry leaves & salt to taste.
Method: Take ghee in frying pan. Place on flame. Add mustard seeds. When it splutters, add black gram daal, curry leaves, split green chillies, cashew nuts bits. Fry for 1 minute. Then add bombay rava and stir well for 2 – 3 minutes. Pour about 2 cups of hot water. Add sugar and salt. Turn over. Cook on low flame, under cover till water evaporates.Remove from flame. Chopped onion, capsicum, green peas can be added to the seasoning if desired.
Ingredients: 1 cup bombay rava, 1 cup sugar, half cup ghee, 1 tsp cardamom powder 1 pinch saffron, afew raisins
Method: Boil about 2 cups of water in a vessel & keep aside. Roast rava with ghee in a frying pan. Add boiling water & turn over till the rava becomes soft. Add sugar and raisins. Continue turning over for another few minutes, adding saffron stir milk. Mix cardamom powder and remove from flame. Garnish with fried cashewnuts and raisins.
