Ingredients: Half cup rice, half cup tur dal or bengal gram daai, 1 cup finely chopped cabbage, 3 onion finely chopped, tamarind pulp 1 tsp, 8 red chillies, coriander seeds 1 tsp, oil for frying & salt to taste.
Method: Soak rice and dal together in water for half an hour. Wash. Grind together red chillies, tamarind, coriander seeds to a coarse paste, without adding much water. Mix chopped cabbage and onion. Make a lemon size balls, flatten it and drop them gently in frying pan with hot oil. Deep fry till crisp & golden brown.
