Ingredients: Silver fish or any fish 1/2 kg, red chillies 12 (6 long and 6 short ), coriander seeds 3 tbsps, jeera 1/4 tsp, methi 1/4 tsp, pepper corns 8, all the items should be roasted in oil. Coconut gratings one fourth, tamarind small marble size, turmeric 1/4 tsp.
For seasoning: Green chillies 3, ginger small piece, onion one chopped, garlic 3 chopped.
Method: Grind d coconut along with d roasted items, tamarind & turmeric to a fine paste. Heat a little oil in a vessel & add chopped onions & fry till transparent. Add the garlic pieces & fry. Add d ground masala paste along with 2 cups of water & salt & bring to a boil. Add the cleaned fish & the chopped green chillies and ginger. Simmer until to fish is cooked.
